10th February 2018 – Dr. Shunil Sharma (MBBS, FRACP) one of the leading Rheumatologist's in Queensland who practices in John Flynn and Gold Coast Hospital appointed as Convenor IMA - Australia Gold Coast Division by Dr. Vagish Singh at felicitation ceremony held at Mariott Gold Coast. This meeting was attended by forty doctors from the Gold Coast region.

Dr, (Prof.) Ravinder Batra was awarded IMA - Australia scroll of honour at a ceremony while cruising the Broadwater on 10th February. He was also presented with a medal by Secretary General Dr. Fernandez. Members and their families enjoyed a sunset cruise followed by a gala dinner at Marriot Gold Coast.

13 March 2020 - on advice of His Excellency Gitesh Sarma, learning aids for children with special needs were sent to India, after consultation with Tarika Roy (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Rehabilitation, Govt of India) subsequent to her visit to Australia.

17th March 2020 - virtual clinic launched by IMA-Q volunteer doctors to provide health related advice to members of the Indian diaspora, during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. This clinic has been running every Sunday since, and to date has provided over 800 telephonic consultations free of cost.

April 2020 - Vice President Dr Vidhya Gupta organised 200 food packets to be distributed to Indian students affected by COVID-19 lockdowns.

June-August 2020 - Several doctors individually contributed Oxygen Concentrators to be donated to people in need in India, facing a shortage of medical oxygen due to COVID-19.

August 2020 An amount of INR 10 lakh was donated through Indian Red Cross for use in the Prime Minister's relief fund.

2nd October 2020 - on occasion of the 150th Gandhi Jayanti, IMA-Q launched a series of 12 webinars, discussing health related topics, delivered in 12 regional languages of India.

14 November 2020 - Diwali Celebrations were held at Indian Mehfil Brisbane, attended by 80 guests from the IMA-Q community.

21st December 2020 - Launch of annual IMA-Q calendar, celebrating the flora, fauna and landmarks of Queensland, by Dr Dilip Dhupelia (AMAQ Past President).

2nd January 2021 - IMA-Q launches "Aap ke Sehat" (Your Health), a monthly virtual lecture series via Australian Indian Radio and YouTube. On 10am of the first Saturday of each month, an IMA-Q doctor delivers a health-related lecture on indianradio.net.au.

9th June 2021 - Facilitated communication between Indian High Commission and various pharmaceutical companies to address a shortage of Ambisome (liposomal amphotericin) in India.

19th June 2021 - Annual IMA-Q Dinner and Medical Conference held at JW Marriott, Surfer's Paradise. 150 guests attended, with medical lectures delivered by 4 medical specialists of IMA-Q. Professor Chris Perry, President of AMAQ was chief guest, and announced special AMAQ membership rates.

20th August 2021 - A delegation of IMA-Q members attended the AMAQ annual conference and held robust discussions with the Chief Health Officer of Queensland.

23rd October 2021 - Dr S. Singh presents a cardiology lecture for 80 IMA-Q members, followed by our annual Diwali celebration.

27th October 2021 - IMA-Q in association with Giri Sivaraman, Principal and Head of Employment Law at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, brought out a public interest webinar regarding implications of COVID-19 immunisation-related workplace regulations.

22nd December - Dr Yash Khanna represents an IMA-Q contingent, which hosted a felicitation of Jim Varghese AM, on his appointment as Chancellor of Torrens University.

January 2022 - "Baatein Sehat Ke" (Talking about Health), a series of live seminars to be launched on the joint occasion of Republic Day of India and Australia Day.

5th March 2022- IMAQ and Women's Legal Service hold a seminar on ' Domestic Voilence - Medical and Legal Aspects at Queensland Parliment . It was attended by Minister of Multi-Cultural Affaires & Police Commissioner of QLD. Dr Vikas Mudgill and A/ Prof Alka Kothari were main speakers from IMAQ .
